Jumping into danger is not the only way of showing courage. Avoiding the area of danger where you want to jump into and silently going alone is also courage.

Immediately reacting to a backflow is foolish. If I remain in the current as the opponent tries to cause a backflows, It will just create a backflow to the opponent himself.

So standing firm and keeping my flow is the best defense and the strongest offense.
